At any point in time, we have the power to control the future. Each action we make today sets in motion effects that can create results in a week, a month, a year. Even the tiniest choices can have significant effects. As we move through this day, let us be aware that we are creating our own fate, our own future.

So…
I was going to write this whole big thing about change, but I think I’ve already done that. Or have been doing it in the last few posts in which I had anything to say for myself.
Besides, I haven’t the time to be long-winded. We’re moving. Going home.
The furniture is gone. Almost everything we have here is packed.
Today we went to visit the Lovely Man’s family. It was our last visit with them before the move. (I had my last visit with my family last weekend.)
Tonight we’ll have our last pizza from Benny’s which became our favorite pizza and hoagie joint. Tonight we’ll survey all that we have here and decide what stays and what goes. Some things will be given away, some placed in storage with a friend, and some thrown away as having lived well past its usefulness.
Tomorrow we clean up the place (that shouldn’t take long since the apartment is small and I’ve already done the worst of it –worst in terms of hard-on-the-back labor– tonight).
Tomorrow night we pack up the car. Tomorrow night we’ll sleep here for the last time. (I can’t say I’m too sad about that as sleeping here has not been good.)
Monday we head home.
I’ll let you know how it all turns out once we’re settled in at home.
