This is the photo I sent to Amuirin yesterday to use for her Wolf Point Meteor experiment:

(Sunset. June 2006.)
And this is a version my son Photoshopped just for the fun of it:

(Altered universe.)
There’s something hiding in the second version that doesn’t belong.
The interesting thing about these photos is that the sky really did look like that. No alterations necessary. We get some spectacular storms here in the Bogs, usually in the spring and early summer months.
We had a series of rough storms blow through early Tuesday morning, and then again early this morning (the same system that caused the tornadoes that killed, at last count, 45 people last night). With the ground here super-saturated from the melting snow and ice, the water had to look for another place to go.
That place is in my basement. Two days in a row of flooding.
Could someone please turn off the storm systems for a day or two so we can dry out?

I think I see what doesn’t belong, but I won’t tell.
I like the picture without the house even better. Thank you for letting us use it yesterday!
Great job on the photo, Robin.
I couldn’t figure out what didn’t belong in the second version.
That is one delicious sky. Sorry about the basement flood. Weather is crazy – Madison is totally closed down at 5 pm after 16 inches of snow today. And I wanted to go to the bookstore tonight. Ha!
your bog-neighborhood, and homes, are absolutely beautiful!!!
It is a pretty area, Fish. Our home is tiny compared to that one in the photo. A couple of McMansions went up around us after we bought the property.
Barbara: The weather is crazy here too. The rain finally turned to snow. Never thought I’d be hoping for that. lol!
Ybonesy: Look behind the pine trees on the left.
Amuirin: You’re welcome. I would have sent you the one without the house except for that DeLorean hiding in the trees.
