(Kent fireworks. 2006)
Happy 4th of July to those of you out there celebrating it. Enjoy your weekend. I’ll be back to blogging here at BH sometime next week. Or maybe the week after. Life is very busy these days. I know I haven’t been a very good blog-mate. I do try to visit everyone, but don’t always leave comments. Not to worry. I’m sure I’ll get all caught up when the winter rolls around and we’re once again socked in with snow.

In the meantime, I’ve taken up the July NaBloPoMo challenge over at Life in the Bogs. The theme for the month is food. I’ve decided to practice my food photography skills and post them over there. (Side note: One of these days I’ll figure out a way to merge the two blogs.) It seemed like a good way to spend July. I don’t think food photography will ever be my forte, but at least I’ll have some fun doing it. And I have all those fresh-from-the-garden vegetables to use as models.

lol, familiar sentiments! Enjoy your case of the summers. That’s a beautiful fireworks picture, and I like what you did with the American Flag shot.
Happy 4th and have a great time away from blogging.
I love images of fireworks, and you have captured this one very well. Have a wonderful weekend. Do remember what I once said on my blog… Don’t let life get in the way of living
Amuirin: Thanks.
You, too.
Brian: Looking forward to it, if it ever happens. lol! Happy 4th to you, too.
Truddle: Fireworks, like birds, seem to be very difficult to capture. Thank you.
Beautiful photos! Love the fireworks and fab flag capture! Fireworks in my little hometown will go off tonight… the city opted for the 5th for some reason. I shall try to capture the sparkles in the night sky… first time for me. Yes, fireworks like birds are difficult to capture.
You know, I’ve been thinking of snow too–not so busy! LOL
Robin: That flag photo is wonderful! Color, movement, symbolism: It’s cool on many different levels.
I know it’s late, but happy 4th of July!
Awesome shot of the fireworks. I took some really wimpy photos last night. I just couldn’t capture it without blurring. And I also love the flags.
Thank you, Anna.
I hope your fireworks shot came out grand.
Stevo: Thank you very muchly.
Ybonesy: I use a tripod and still many of my fireworks photos come out blurry. They’re hard to capture, that’s for sure.
The colors on the last flag photo are great, and I can say the same about the other flags for a completely different reason.
I loved the flag photo, too. We see so many of them, especially around this holiday, but this one is special. The colors pop out and it just is so moving.
Take care. Rest. Enjoy life.
Thank you, Chris and Corina.
I love this fireworks photo. It’s like a neon anemone.
