While I was out on my back deck this morning, eating some cereal and enjoying the sun and the growing warmth of the day, a monarch butterfly fluttered past, right across the deck, about ten feet away. Cheered me up to see it, and I hope it’s journey is safe. Maybe down to the big monarch roost at Pacific Grove?
