Your beloved and your friends were once strangers. Somehow at a particular time, they came from the distance toward your life. Their arrival seemed so accidental and contingent. Now your life is unimaginable without them. Similarly, your identity and vision are composed of a certain constellation of ideas and feelings that surfaced from the depths of the distance within you. To lose them now would be to lose yourself.

Beautiful.
Thank you, Amuirin. 🙂
Robin, this quote reminded me of an incident which happened a number of years ago. My daughter was home from school, feeling under the weather, so decided to look through some old photos. She came across one which had been taken quite a few years earlier whilst we were holidaying about three hours drive north from home.
In the background of one of the photos, she spotted a very clear photo of one of her closest friends, whom she had not met at the time the photo was taken. Needless to say, we were all amazed!
To this day they are still close friends and have been for ten years, since meeting when they both began high school.
That is an amazing story, Joanne! I’d say this quote is perfect for it. 🙂
Very nice quote and photo Robin! I think all things happen for a reason and its no accident that the people who surround you help make you as a person.
